Anyone with multiple pets knows exactly what’s happening here. One horse-sized Great Dane is getting rubbed, so the other giant immediately assumes his world is crashing down around him. It’s time to make hellish noise, shove in, and throw a tantrum.
If all else fails, collapse in exhaustion. That works too.
