Dolphins aren’t always the friendly sea creatures that movies and Lisa Frank make them out to be. One surfer learned that the hard way.
Trying to catch a ride at Hermosa Beach, California, Matt Minch spotted some dolphins swimming nearby. And as a wave rolled in, a dolphin peeled off from its squad, jumped right out of the water, and decked Minch.
Move over, shark attacks—this is darn frightening. Minich wrote that the dolphin didn’t see him, but I’m thinking the clever mammal just wanted to mess with the men who dared enter its aquatic home.
Thankfully, nobody was hurt.
Don’t mess with Flipper.
