Former New York mailman faces jail for tossing Bed Bath & Beyond catalogs

We’re all familiar with the true wonderland that is Bed Bath & Beyond. But the retailer’s amazing deals are turning into a nightmare for an ex-postal carrier in upstate New York who could be facing jail time for throwing out a bundle of their ads he was meant to deliver. 

The Associate Press reports that 36-year-old Jeffrey Wojcik of Buffalo suburb Cheektowaga may go to prison for six months after pleading guilty to “obstruction of the mails,” a federal crime. On top of that sentence for dumping some junk mail that would likely have been tossed by recipients anyway, Wojcik may also be fined $5,000 in August when he’s sentenced. 

And it turns out that the ex-postal worker was apparently caught because someone ratted him out. Probably someone upset over not getting their coupons, because, as Abbi from Broad City proudly proclaims on the reg:
