Here’s Stephen Hawking covering Monty Python’s ‘Galaxy Song’

Today in things you never thought you’d see: Astrophysicist Stephen Hawking performed Monty Python’s “Galaxy Song” in a new video from the beloved British comedy troupe. 

The clip is half live footage of Monty Python, half Hawking floating through space after running a guy over with his wheelchair. 

Here’s the original song from 1983 film Monty Python’s The Meaning of Life: 

The re-recording is apparently going to be available as a limited-edition 7-inch on Record Store Day, which takes place April 18. Hopefully this isn’t the last time we see a Hawking-Python collaboration.
