After cancer diagnosis, woman documents beautiful around-the-world trip on Instagram

Megan Sullivan hasn’t had the easiest year. In November 2014, she fell while rock climbing in Yosemite National Park. Three days later, she was hit by a car while riding her Vespa, and the following week, she was diagnosed with skin cancer

It seemed like the universe was telling her it was time to fulfill one of her lifelong ambitions. So she decided to take action.

“In December of 2014, I realized my three-year dream of traveling around the world, ten days before departure with three hours of planning and with some guy I’d known for two weeks,” Sullivan wrote on her personal website.

Sullivan decided to embark on her global voyage with boyfriend Chris McNamara, despite the fact that they’d only known each other for two weeks. But as she wrote: “[The relationship is] still new, so those annoyances that really start to get on your nerves in six months are still relatively cute and adorable.” She thought McNamara would make for an ideal travel partner.

Sullivan documented their trip on Instagram, posting photos of their visits to the seven wonders of the world (according to the site New7Wonders) in just 13 days. Although she embarked on her worldwide journey back in January, her gorgeous Instagram photos are just starting to garner attention.

According to a comment on a YouTube video Sullivan posted of her and McNamara’s epic journey, the two thrill-seekers are still together. “Relationship is going stronger than ever,” she wrote, “excited for our next adventure that is happening very soon :).”

Apparently, McNamara and Sullivan have yet to satisfy their wanderlust. Just last week, they went on another trip around the globe, visiting Amsterdam, Istanbul, and Rome in four days.
