The saga of the Bernie SandersDonald Trump debate continues.

Frustrated with Trump’s proclivity to change his mind again and again on the topic, Sanders went on HBO’s Real Time with Bill Maher on Friday night and challenged the the presumptive Republican nominee to change his mind once again, this time to hold the much-anticipated clash of candidates.

“First he said he would do it,” Sanders argued. “Then he said he wouldn’t do it. Then he said he would do it. Then he said he wouldn’t do it. So, I would hope that if he changed his mind four times in two days, change it a fifth time. Trump claims to be a really tough guy, pushes people around. Hey, Donald, come on up, let’s have a debate about the future of America.”

It’s been less than 24 hours since Trump’s last proclamation on the subject where, despite offers by multiple TV networks to host, the Republican candidate backed out.

Sanders is hoping for another change from Trump before the race is over.

When Trump said no, a Twitter hashtag exploded: #ChickenTrump. Sanders’s appearance on Real Time has only helped it grow.

The Republican and Democratic primaries continue on June 7 in California with or without a Sanders-Trump debate.
