Just before President Donald Trump began his keynote at the 2017 Conservative Political Action Conference on Friday morning, someone began handing out Russian flags emblazoned with “Trump” to the crowd of eager conservatives.

As images began to circulate on Twitter of gleeful flag-waving attendees, staffers quickly dashed around the crowd to confiscate the controversial flags—which seem to be a caustic dig at reports of the White House’s involvement with Russia.

Since before the election, Trump has been plagued by allegations that he and members of his team have close ties with Moscow.

A bipartisan investigation was called by members of both parties following the resignation of Trump’s former National Security Adviser Michael Flynn—who was found to be discussing sensitive foreign policy matters with a Russian ambassador.

If Trump catches wind of the flag prank, you might want to brace yourself for a Twitter tirade this afternoon.
