The town of Mukilteo, Washington is reeling after a tragic shooting at a house party on Saturday night.

Three were killed during the incident: Anna Bui, Jake Long, and Jordan Ebner. They were partying with a group of friends in the Chennault Beach neighborhood, most of whom were recent graduates of Mukilteo’s local Kamiak High School.

Police have already arrested a suspect, 19-year-old Allen Ivanov, who had fled from the scene by car and was captured during a traffic stop some 100 miles away near near Chehalis. Ivanov was reportedly friendly with some of the party-goers. Speaking to the Seattle Times, one of Anna Bui’s friends said that Bui and Ivanov had dated for a year during high school. It’s unclear what motivated his actions, however.

Online, Ivanov’s friends and acquaintances are expressing shock and horror on social media. Replying to one of Ivanov’s only two tweets, a man named Jamey Marker wrote, “We loved you. Man you had a bright future. Why would you throw it away? Unbelievable.” Ivanov’s final tweet, posted on Friday, is thought to be a reference to Ruger firearms.

Four days before the shooting, Ivanov posted a photo of a gun and three bullets on Instagram, with the comment, “You can’t run with me.” The post has since been inundated with responses from people grieving the three victims and decrying his actions.

One Instagram user, saoirsesparkles, replied, “I’ve known Allen the same amount of time, since elementary. And he was my friend too. But now he is a murderer and it breaks my heart. Innocent lives have been taken. He is where he deserves to be because of his actions.”

Ivanov is now in custody, and the police do not believe anyone else was involved in the shooting. A fourth victim, 18-year-old Will Kramer, was hospitalized after the attack and had spent Saturday night in ICU at Seattle’s Harborview Medical Center.
