Dudes stage high-speed drone race in an empty parking garage

Drones! Could they change the way we fight wars and police our citizenry? Will they totally disrupt or reconfigure the service industry? Do they herald the next wave of sexual harassment?

Yes, yes, and almost certainly yes—but to get hung up on these hot-button issues is to forget that drones are basically toys, and ought to be used as such. It was a great joy, then, to discover that some Dutch dudes have been using an empty parking garage as a racetrack for their Blackout Mini Quadcopters.

Not every aircraft survives, but man, what a way to go.

I, for one, can’t wait to see a Drone Olympics.
