You’ve never seen anything like this music video—forward or backward

You’re going to want to watch this. Twice.

Brace yourself: You’re not ready for what you’re about to see.

Russia’s Leningrad recently released a music video for “Tattoo Artist” that combines the technical brilliance of OK Go with the absolute absurdity of Psy’s “Gangnam Style.” Directed by Ilya Naishuller, the video is meant to be played both forward and backwards, but it’s head-scratching either way. There’s a circus tiger and a monkey, a double-crossing, a bomb, and no shortage of blood—and that’s just in the first minute.

Warning: It’s graphic—stupidly, weirdly graphic.

After you’ve had a chance to take that in, watch it in chronological order. It only makes slightly more sense that way, but what’s truly incredible is that the music still syncs perfectly to the editing. No wonder it’s already been viewed more than 4 million times.
