Fifth Harmony‘s MTV Video Music Awards performance was anything but subtle.
The group performed hit “Angel” but before the song even started, an anonymous fifth member was blown offstage. This is probably a reference to former member Camila Cabello, who left the group in December 2016. Fifth Harmony then pivoted to “Down” featuring an appearance from Gucci Mane, which ended with a synchronized mic drop.

Some said the move was “shade” while others said it was just a new era of the group. Either way, people had some very physical responses.
