Nearly a full day after the Washington Post released leaked audio footage of Donald Trump making lewd comments, his running mate is speaking out.
Indiana Gov. Mike Pence is standing by the Donald. Many Republicans are starting to disavow their nominee, yet Pence has stayed loyal. He praised the candidate for apologizing for his remarks, which were recorded in 2005 while Trump was aboard an Access Hollywood bus with host Billy Bush.
Pence promised that Trump’s debate performance would “show what is in his heart.”
The second presidential debate is set to take place on Sunday night at Washington University in St. Louis.
