This action-packed high-school dance proposal video is pure gold

Combine the aesthetic of “Dick in a Box” with the thrill of an ‘80s action movie, and you have this completely over-the-top high-school homecoming dance proposal.

Teens George Mugnani and Adam Zybko donned their late-20th-century finest to ask Emma and Claire if they’d attend the homecoming dance with them—but not before doing some sick tricks and daring stunts, like running with minivans and meeting Shia LaBeouf. 

While 2015 saw far too many “promposals”—some of which ended in handcuffs—this video is a creative and oddly endearing take.

FYI, though, teens: It is still completely okay to just ask someone to a dance. You know, with words and stuff.
