Back in May, the Daily Dot discovered a very special romance blossoming on Instagram. After 10 years of friendship, comedian Genevieve Blau decided to take her relationship with her Jansport backpack to the next level.
She never anticipated, however, that her whirlwind romance would become an Internet sensation.

And like any happy young couple, the duo didn’t let a little bruising stop them from enjoying the last day of their trip.

Blau also documented the trip on her blog.
According to Blau, the trip was a wonderful turning point in the relationship. While some couples find traveling together can reveal your partner’s less-than-loveable side, Blau discovered the depth of what Jansport has to offer her.
Said Blau, “When we are doing our day to day thing in NYC, Jansport carries my books, my gym clothes. In Spain, especially traveling to and from, Jansport really carried a lot for me. I felt super taken care of—if anything it drew us closer.”
