Halloween is the best time to wear….well, whatever you want. But it’s undeniably the greatest opportunity to show off your creativity. So skip the pre-packaged costumes and put your imagination to the test with an artsy DIY Halloween costume.

Not only will you save some cash (since you probably already own a lot of the basics) but you’ll be able to incorporate pieces of your costume into your everyday wardrobe. And it’s a lot easier than you’d expect. Just check out the list below for a costume idea that will stand out from the pack.

1) Don’t shoot your eye out assembling this, kid.

The Leg Lamp is probably the most iconic piece of furniture to date, and it just so happens to be a simple DIY costume, too! That is if you can walk in heels, anyway. All you need is a pair of fishnets ($8 via Amazon), a flared beige mini skirt ($15 via Amazon), some black fringe ($4 via Amazon) and a pair of black heels ($20 via Amazon).

2) Anita, darling!

I could give you 101 reasons why people love Cruella De Vil more than any other villain, but instead, I’m going to give you great costume advice. Set yourself up with a white faux fur wrap ($20 via Amazon), your sexiest black dress ($20 via Amazon), a cigarette holder ($7 via Amazon), a pair of red gloves ($8 via Amazon), black heels ($20 via Amazon), and a two-tone wig ($23 via Amazon) and you’ll be perfectly wretched.

3) For the person who hates everybody.

All you need is a green blazer ($17+ via Amazon), a black skater skirt ($5+ via Amazon), orange shirt($4+ via Amazon), glasses ($7 via Amazon), and some combat boots ($27+ via Amazon) to nail Daria’s look. So if you don’t currently own these basics, don’t worry about it. You can easily get them online.

4) Welcome, Mayor of Flavortown.

If Guy Fieri is your spirit animal than this should be your Halloween costume. All you need is a flamin’ bowling shirt ($42 via Amazon), a pair of sporty sunglasses ($6.50+ via Amazon), some frosted tips and a goatee ($12 on sale via Amazon).

5) Show off your psychic abilities.

Eleven is more than just a number, she’s everyone’s favorite protagonist. So if you’re looking for a costume that’s more on the stranger side of things, just grab a pink baby doll dress ($12.99+ via Amazon), a navy blue jacket ($18+ via Amazon,  tube socks ($9+ via Amazon) and some Eggos for good measure ($2.76 via Amazon).

6) You were famous in the ’90s.

If you’re a fan of Bojack Horseman you probably know all too well how it feels to feel, well, nothing at all. But you might be able to have a laugh and forget about your depression for just a little while thanks to this horse mask ($12 via Amazon). All you need is a royal blue sweater ($9+ via Amazon), some teal jeans ($9+ via Amazon) and a gray blazer ($13+ via Amazon) to transform yourself into that Horse from Horsin’ Around.

7) Get ready to make a fist.

Arthur’s fist seems to be more popular than himself as a whole. And that’s fine, whatever it takes for a good meme, right? But you know what makes for a great costume? A fantastic meme. So maybe you should start strengthening your hand otherwise you risk cramping up all night. Besides, all you need to be the internet’s new obsession is a yellow sweater ($6+ via Amazon), some bear ears ($5 via Amazon), a pair of glasses ($7 via Amazon) and some light wash jeans ($10+ via Amazon).

8) You can get a steak here, daddy-O.

Who doesn’t love a good Tarantino film? Losers, probably. To make things even better you can easily recreate costumes his most beloved characters wore. Just take Uma Thurman’s role in Pulp Fiction, for instance. All you need to transform yourself into Mia Wallace is a black wig ($23 via Amazon), a white button-up ($15+ via Amazon), some black slacks or leggings ($8+ via Amazon), and red lipstick ($5 via Amazon). But if you really want to get into character, you may as well order a pack of fake cigarettes ($4 via Amazon).

9) Hi-diddly-ho!

Everyone loves cartoons and their friendly, Jesus-preaching diddly-door neighbor. It’s just that simple. So, everyone is bound to love your Flanders costume. And guess what? It’s simple to pull off. Just grab yourself a fake stache ($12 via Amazon), a pair of round glasses ($10 via Amazon), hair gel ($9 via Amazon), a green crew neck ($6+ via Amazon) and a pink polo shirt ($9+ via Amazon). Okily dokily!

Screws fall out all the time, the world is an imperfect place. But this 1985 heartthrob makes it seem pretty perfect, so you may as well take a page out of John Bender’s style book this Halloween. All you need is red flannel ($18+ via Amazon), a white thermal ($15 via Amazon) and a denim jacket ($19+ via Amazon). People will swoon over you and your unforgettable looks.

11) On your best day, you’re not as smart as she is.

Judge Judy is truly a television sensation. She’s intelligent, funny, and regardless of the cases she’s dealt, she seems to figure out a pretty fair outcome. So if you’re looking for a costume that shows off your smarts just as much as your wits grab yourself a white peter pan collar ($4 via Amazon), a black robe ($17.50 via Amazon), pearl studs ($12 via Amazon), a gavel ($7 via Amazon) and a wig ($13 via Amazon).

12) F*ck you and your eyebrows!

Breaking Bad ended, we know. But legends never die, so why not dress up and show off your dad bod as the infamous Walter White this Halloween. Honestly, any excuse not to wear pants is a good one. So just grab a green button-up ($8+ via Amazon), some tighty whiteys ($10+ via Amazon), moccasins ($27+ via Amazon), a pair of glasses ($10 via Amazon) and some crew socks ($9+ via Amazon). Get ready to get cookin’.

13) Be the Belle of the ball!

If you’re a fan of Disney (more specifically Beauty and the Beast) you’re in luck! Belle is one of the easiest characters to recreate, all you need is a blue overall dress ($20+ via Amazon), a white maid apron for your waist ($8 via Amazon), a white 3/4 sleeve shirt ($8 via Amazon), black heels ($20 via Amazon), and a blue hair bow ($7 via Amazon).
