If your devotion to Disney is strong enough to name every film from Frozen to its most obscure shorts (The Old Mill, anyone?), Disney Codenames is a must-have for your board game library.

Codenames is already a beloved title among fans of tabletop games, but with the addition of this family-friendly Disney version, the game becomes even more playable to wider age groups – not to mention extremely appealing to Disney fans.

Disney Codenames challenges players to group into teams of two and choose a “Spymaster” for each. The Spymasters know the secret identities of 25 agents on the board, who happen to be famous characters like Snow White, Moana, Mufasa, and more. Meanwhile, the other players only know their code names. And so, the guessing begins.

Spymasters give one-word clues to help players make contact with all of their agents while players try to guess their identities. However, each team must watch out for the Game Over Card randomly hidden somewhere on the board. If that card is chosen, the team that chose it automatically loses and the other team wins. It makes the stakes much higher, so play carefully!

While the original Codenames is played in a 5X5 grid, Disney Codenames also includes the option to play 4X4, which makes the game more welcoming for younger players. It also features cards with a picture on one side and the word on the other, so it has a more colorful appearance. Just look at all those beloved Disney faces you know so well!

Disney Codenames is suitable for up to eight players, and average play time is 15 minutes, making it a quick and easy game to enjoy when you’re not in that Axis and Allies kind of mood. It also works well for little ones with shorter attention spans!

Disney Codenames is available on Amazon for just $24.95 (. And if you find you’ve fallen in love with the addictive gameplay, check out the original Codenames and other themed releases such as Marvel Codenames.
