CoverGirl made news last month when it announced its newest brand ambassador was a 17-year-old boy, James Charles. Now, it’s breaking barriers again by featuring beauty vlogger Nura Afia, a Moroccan Muslim woman from Denver who wears a hijab, as its latest ambassador.

Afia’s YouTube channel has over 200,000 subscribers, and she provides tutorials on things like smokey eyes, great eyebrows, and different ways of wrapping head coverings. “I never thought I would see Muslim women represented on such a large scale,” Afia told Glamour

Last year, H&M featured a woman in a hijab in one of its fashion campaigns, but representation is still rare. So here’s hoping more women like Afia get these opportunities. Because seriously, her skin is flawless.
