Caitlyn Jenner is making headlines yet again, but this time it’s for a less-than-positive reason.
Back in February, Jenner was involved in a deadly car crash on California’s Pacific Coast Highway, which resulted in the death of 69-year-old Kimberly Howe. Now there’s a possibility that Jenner could see the inside of a courtroom.
“Jenner’s case is going to go to the district attorney next week to see if it is worthy of a misdemeanor violation for involuntary manslaughter,” Det. Richard Curry said in a statement. “We did determine in the investigation that Jenner was going at an unsafe speed for the prevailing conditions, even though he was traveling under the posted speed limit.”
On February 7, Jenner’s SUV hit Howe’s car from behind. Howe went barreling into oncoming traffic, where she was hit by another SUV.
Jenner made headlines a few months later on June 1, when she came out publicly as transgender and introduced the world to Caitlyn.

A much-talked about Vanity Fair cover followed, as did her reality series, I Am Cait. But the positive press and incredible impact on the trans community did not shield the Keeping Up with the Kardashians star from being subject to a legal investigation.
According to CNN, Jenner’s publicist, Alan Neirob, said she had no comment on the DA getting the case.
