Proving once again that the world’s most insane thrill-seekers are really just fearless children at heart, some maniacs have devised a way to rope swing through South Africa’s beautiful Magwa Falls gorge. Right after 60-story plunge down into it. 

Mike Wilson and Andrew Kirkpatrick supervised the crew that put together this safe-as-long-as-you-don’t-die bungee jump, which includes a sphincter-tightening four seconds of absolute free fall. Plenty of time to consider all of your choices up to that point.

It’s an exhilarating clip, but I found it hard to relate to. Aside from not having dreadlocks, most of my suicidal leaps take place in workday fantasies. Given the chance to stand atop a great height and conquer my fears, it would have gone more like this:
