A Chattanooga, Tennessee father was taken into police custody for choking and beating his 14-year-old daughter after discovering she was sending and posting nudes on Snapchat.
The girl told authorities that it was her mother who first became angry after seeing photos posted on social media. Her mother tried to spank her, but when she was not successful, her father, Christian Amason, took charge.
In a WTVC report, the teenager stated that her father slapped and grabbed her before both parents followed her into her bedroom. Then he allegedly proceeded by choking and hitting her as they continued to argue. WDEF reported that the teen called her sister at midnight to pick her up and file a police report.
Hamilton County Police responded to the incident, coming to the house to interrogate and interview the parents. Both admitted to spanking her as a result of overreacting, and the father was taken into custody for child neglect. Child services have been informed.
