In YouTube Right Now, the Daily Dot looks at videos that catch our eyes, push our buttons, and move our dials—and that you’ve just got to watch. Right now!

Dogs aren’t color-blind. Daddy longlegs don’t produce venom. Lemmings are not suicidal.

If your mind’s blown by those revelations, strap on some more brain dynamite. London resident Colin Grey, known on YouTube as CGPGrey, blows common animal misconceptions to smithereens in a four-minute YouTube video titled “8 Animal Misconceptions Rundown.”

(This video has been reuploaded since publication time, with Grey removing the audio concerning Disney’s documentary on lemmings. )

Like this video, the rest of Grey’s work is witty, informative, well-researched, and highly entertaining. He adds illustrations and references to pop culture to liven up the material. And his soothing British accent certainly doesn’t hurt either.

Uploaded today, “8 Animal Misconceptions Rundown” has already collected 1,000 upvotes on the social news site Reddit. (The view count is frozen due to YouTube’s well-known inability to keep up with popular videos.)

Other Grey videos to check out include “Primary Elections Explained,” “2012 & The End Of The World,” “Death to Pennies,” “Copyright: Forever Less One Day,” “Coffee: The Greatest Addiction Ever” and, really just about every single one of Grey’s 35 videos on his channel.

“Teach me more things!” commented Grothbar on YouTube.

Yes, please. Teach us all the things, Colin Grey!
