Rubin explores the meet-cute, a device in rom-coms where two lovers are brought together in a picture-perfect moment of locked eyes, accidental physical contact, or adorable misunderstanding. Of course, in her YouTube parody, everything that could goes wrong does, underscored by songs from Beyoncé, Iggy Azalea, and Usher, mixed with silent film piano riffs.
So if you’re feeling down this Valentine’s Day, just remember it could always be worse. You could have rubbed pizza on your face.
