We now have a little more of a glimpse of what to expect from the highly anticipated second season of True Detective. HBO released the first trailer with actual dialogue for the series that premieres on June 21.
This season, the thriller series focuses on three law enforcement officers and one criminal and takes place in California. Stars Vince Vaughn, Colin Farrell, Rachel McAdams, and Taylor Kitsch all make an appearance in the trailer, and McAdams’ badass fighting skills and frustration with a case focusing on a young girl that’s getting no attention from law enforcement appear to be the crux of the minute-long trailer.
This season takes a completely different turn from the last one—a new location, new cast, and, to the chagrin of many fans, absolutely nothing to do with the occult.
