Viceland announced plans for the show in August, basing the format on the queens’ YouTube series “UNHhhh.” The channel described the new series, which is also produced by World of Wonder, as a “hilarious hybrid of late-night, daytime, and advice shows.”
“On this show we take a single topic and explore it inside and out,” Katya says in the trailer.
She and Trixie both appeared on season 7 of RuPaul’s Drag Race, and then went on to compete in All Stars.
The Viceland show will introduce guests—Trixie has said the guests will be experts in the given topics, for example morticians to talk about death—and man-on-the-street interviews.
If it’s anything like the YouTube series, the Trixie & Katya Show will include plenty of lewd jokes, witty banter, and ridiculous special effects, plus references to the film Contact.
Honey, the Trixie & Katya Show premieres Nov. 15.
