Amid all the tumult, drama, and excitement of the 2016 presidential race, Saturday Night Live has not disappointed in its 42nd season, especially not when it came time for Black Jeopardy on Saturday night.

Tom Hanks nearly won the game as a denim-clad, down home Donald Trump supporter named Doug who seems to have a real instinct for nailing host Darnell Hayes’ (Kenan Thompson) questions, whether they’re about iPhone fingerprint scans, rigged elections, his love for Tyler Perry movies, and cheap auto repair fixes.

And yet, the Final Jeopardy question gets just a little bit awkward. just whose lives is it that matter, again?

Sadly, we never get to see all the things Doug “has to say about” which lives matter. But like Hayes says, “well, it was good while it lasted, Doug!”
