Its protean nature has found expression in everything from hieroglyphics and cuneiforms on stone tablets to scrolls, books, graphic novels, films, and now, finally, to that pinnacle of representative art forms—the animated GIF.
And what greater subject for such treatment than Beyoncé? She is, herself, rather animated, and entirely representative of her time. Earlier this week, People magazine crowned her the Most Beautiful Woman.
