A series of sponsored Tweets for McDonald’s and a recipe site have been removed from the Twitter page of Michael Vick after media reports questioning the Philadelphia Eagles quarterback’s arrangement with the two companies.

Last night, according to CNBC, Vick tweeted “Looking at Thanksgiving recipes on @Chobani Kitchen site!” That followed a tweet last month where Vick told his more than 800,000 Tiwtter followers “Check out these prizes from the McDonald’s monopoly game.” Both tweets were followed by the -spon tag, but when initially called, McDonald’s told CNBC it didn’t have Vick under an endorsement contract.

It turns out Vick is working for MyLikes, which promises companies click-throughs by tweeting endorsements from influencers. It’s unclear which celebrities are signed up for the site, but corporate clients include Coca-Cola, Microsoft, Axe, Wheat Thins,NBC Universal and 1-800-Flowers.

Vick’s endorsement for Chobani was a mistake and was pulled from his Twitter feed, but not before some fans noticed.

“Really Vick, can you even cook?” @bigspence64 tweeted.

“Dude, I’d rather you look at recipes to carve up Dallas secondary Sunday night!” added @PhllyPhan.

MyLikes was founded by former Google employees and is open to any Web publisher, with most of the click-throughs coming via Twitter and YouTube. Khloe and Kourtney Kardashian tweeted throughout the Oscars for the company in February, and the official Twitter page for the film “The Notebook” has been sending out sponsored, MyLikes tweets to the feed’s 125,000 followers.
