Friday evening marked the second annual Acoustic-4-A-Cure concert in San Francisco, and Metallica frontman James Hetfield took the stage with his eldest daughter, Cali.

While he might be a hard rocker most of the time, we got to see his softer side in the duo’s beautiful rendition of Adele’s “Crazy for You.”

The concert was started by Hetfield and Sammy Hagar, formerly of Van Halen. According to the event’s website, the rockers’ “vision was to raise needed funds and awareness for the Pediatric Cancer Program at UCSF by bringing together some of their legendary friends and throwing a must-see concert for fans.”

Other famous guests at this year’s concert included musicians Jerry Cantrell, Pat Monahan, Linda Perry, Joe Satriani, and Chad Smith.

With pipes like Cali’s, it’s doubtful this is the last she’ll see of the spotlight, with or without her famous dad.
