Today would have been Kurt Cobain‘s 50th birthday, and daughter Frances Bean shared a note on Instagram in his honor.

Cobain died on April 5, 1994. The 2015 HBO doc Montage of Heck offers a look into Cobain’s archives and some scenes with baby Frances. It’s worth revisiting today.
