Everything has its limit.

Diamonds will melt if heated to 3,550 degree Celcius.

And from the looks of it, a post on Reddit will crash if it collects more than 13,000 comments in five hours.

That was the case Monday when a post titled “What extremely controversial thing(s) do you honestly believe, but don’t talk about to avoid the arguments?” collected 14,019 comments and forced Reddit administrators to block the post on the social news site because it overloaded its servers, wrote Reddit admin alienth.

“All right guys, you know what to do,” wrote Hypobasis in the post from alienth explaining the hiccup. “13k comments in this thread!”

As of 8:15 p.m. EST the post was still blocked.
