What could possibly make a pair of a cute cuddly kittens even cuter and cuddlier (or irreparably strange, depending on your perspective)?

Anthropomorphizing the animals as a pair of teenagers, of course.

That’s just one of the strange delights we pounced on when we discovered that the Critter Room, a popular Facebook page for foster dad John Bartlett’s room of livestreamed fuzzy felines, had a Fanart page. Ranging from the tender to the inexplicable, the Critter Room fanart collection proves—as if we needed convincing—that the Internet’s largest fandom is and will always be cat fandom.

Here are some of our favorites:

1) The JohnCat

Artist Lolakills on Tumblr drew this picture of Critter Room owner John Bartlett as a cat himself:

4) Role Reversal

This time, John is still the cat, but Kari, one of the Mythbuster Kittens*, is depicted in human form.

…but they won’t wait till the cat’s away, apparently.
