Supreme Court refuses to hear Trump’s DACA appeal

The Supreme Court today refused to hear the Trump administration’s appeal on the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) programs, allowing a lower court’s ruling preserving the program to stand.

The Trump administration was trying to circumvent the appeals process by skipping the 9th Circuit and going to the Supreme Court. The court, however, said it would not hear the case until the 9th Circuit—which has foiled Trump repeatedly—weighs in.

The injunction issued by the lower court says that the Trump administration needs to continue processing DACA renewals after the March 5 deadline.
