The best part: She sold the phones and bought a house.
You know the saying: When life gives you boyfriends, make them buy you stuff until you can trade it in and get yourself a house. At least that’s what happened in the tale of Xiaoli (not her real name), a Chinese woman whose 20 boyfriends bought her iPhone 7s, which she then sold to get herself some real estate.
The story was published by a blogger using the pseudonym Proud Qiaoba, who appears to work with Xiaoli, according to the BBC. “Everyone in the office is talking about this now,” wrote Proud Qiaoba. “Who knows what her boyfriends think now this news has become public.”
Who cares? She has bought herself a fortress and no longer requires them.
Another commenter lamented, “I can’t even find one boyfriend. She can actually find 20 boyfriends at the same time and even get them to buy her an iPhone 7. Just want to ask her to teach me such skills.” The phones got her around $18,000—and the satisfaction of a game well-played.
