As jaded, easily embarrassed curmudgeons, we often forget that if we’re feeling ourselves on any given morning, it’s OK to sashay from side to side, in a minimal leopard ensemble, repeating before a mirror, “I’m cute, I’m cute, I’m cute.”
Perhaps Jamie Rabaut posted this video of her daughter Audrey to give us that boost, reminding us that we’re not only cute, but also “beautiful and smart.” At one point, Rabaut then chimes in to add “and perfect” to Audrey’s running affirmations, but perfection is an unattainable illusion and the cause for much psychological and emotional despair that takes years of therapy and OCD coping mechanisms to quell, so we’ll stick with cute, beautiful and smart, maybe tack on “kind” while we’re at it.
“Humble”? Nah.
