After an adorable tabby kitten named Mikey was hit by a car, things seemed pretty dire for the pint-sized cat. The accident left the precocious feline with a pelvis fractured in four places and facing the cruel fate of euthanasia due to the severe extent of his injuries.

But thanks to the kindness of the folks at Vet Ranch, Mikey’s short life was saved from a tragic and untimely ending. Rather than highly invasive surgery, the doctor used the kitten’s youthfulness and natural healing abilities to rehabilitate him. Once he completed several weeks of cage rest and a round of pain meds, Mikey was as spry and wild as any kitten his age.

Between frolicking on the trampoline, climbing trees, and dashing through bushes like a wild animal, Mikey made a full recovery and is currently looking for a foster home and ultimately, to be adopted.
