We may not have flying cars, intergalactic travel, or Ghostbusters 3, but for those of us too lazy to mix our own alcoholic drinks, the future has indeed arrived. Yes, if you have a few hours, $180, and a 3D printer, you can create your very own drink-mixing robot.

Engineer and programmer Yu Jiang Tham is responsible for “Bar Mixvah,” a working robot that will mix alcoholic drinks.

Using up to five different ingredients, Bar Mixvah will create any drink from a number of pre-programmed recipes, pouring them as strong as you like.

So far, Tham has only posted the step-by-step instructions for assembling the hardware; lessons on the programming of the software have yet to be released. Still, it means house parties just got a lot more fun.

Unfortunately, it doesn’t look like Bar Mixvah will listen to you whine about your life’s shortcomings and offer you a drink “on the house.” We can’t get rid of real bartenders just yet.
