Continuing its goal of having 50 percent original content, Netflix has picked up yet another comedy: Atypical, which will focus on a teenage boy with autism as he tries to be independent.

Keir Gilchrist (It Follows) plays the 18-year-old Sam. Jennifer Jason Leigh and Michael Rappaport play his mother and father. According to Netflix, the show will focus on Sam’s “funny yet painful journey of self-discovery,” which “upends his entire family, forcing them all to grapple with change in their own lives as they all struggle with the central theme: What does it really mean to be normal?”

The show comes from The Goldbergs‘ Robia Rashid and Seth Gordon, and joins a deluge of new original Netflix comedies. Production will start later this year.
