Work SHIFT

In the face of the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, rising costs of living, and a cultural change in perspective toward productivity at work, the traditional workplace—one that employs workers from 9 to 5 for 40 hours a week—is dead. In these stories, local governments turn to spyware to monitor employee efficiency, TikTok influencing provides supplemental income for creators of color, and Gen Z relies on social media to grasp modern work culture.
