This new ‘walk-in naked’ TikTok challenge has people making embarrassing mistakes

As coronavirus quarantine boredom sets in across the country, many people have settled into a solid routine of work, eat, Netflix, video games, sleep, and repeat. Or, some combination of those things, anyway. However, others are finding increasingly creative ways to entertain themselves.

When couples are stuck at home together, this general recipe is more or less responsible for a new “walk-in naked” challenge currently making the rounds on TikTok.

Basically, the challenge involves ladies stepping out of the shower (or other stages of undress) and surprising their significant others in the nude while they’re focused on playing video games, or what have you.

According to Know Your Meme, the first popularly known instance of the walk-in naked challenge occurred on March 26, when TikTok user @lindseybear1 filmed a (mostly safe for work) video of herself walking in on her boyfriend who was playing Call of Duty. “Whoa,” aptly exclaims the clearly-stunned boyfriend, in the (blessedly) brief clip.

As the upload proceeded to go viral (it has since been viewed over 3.5 million times), it inspired others to try the walk-in naked challenge, to varying degrees of success. Though the majority of dudes had few complaints with a naked surprise, others seemed to be decidedly underwhelmed—to the obvious chagrin of their partners.

And naturally, a few guys tried it on their ladies, with predictably even less success.

One dude went mega-viral after trying it on his girlfriend… only to encounter her equally horrified mother?

With social distancing and self-quarantining already extending to June and beyond in some states—this is perhaps a glimpse of what we can expect in the coming weeks and months. Maybe there’s some truth to the anticipated coronavirus baby boom, after all.
