Edie Simms can now scratch off “getting arrested” from her bucket list. Her crime? Handcrafting over 400 items over the last two years for the Five Star Senior Center.

The 102-year-old St. Louis resident asked local police to escort her to the center in handcuffs, where she donated her items in person for the first time. Simms also shared some inspiring words of wisdom with the local TV crew that captured the heartwarming incident.

“Keep going,” she told ABC News. “Don’t ever stop. Whatever it is you’re doing, spend some time doing community service, because sometimes the people you reach out and touch, you’re the only person they’ll talk to in a day.”
