The addition of Felix comes just days after signing top laner Noh “Gamsu” Yeong-jin and jungler Lee “Spirit” Da-yoon. Fnatic lost three of its biggest stars last month, with Korean duo Heo “Huni” Seong-hoon and Kim “Reignover” Yeu-jin moving to North American team Immortals, and long-time captain and support player Bora “YellOwStaR” Kim also moving to the U.S. to reportedly join Team SoloMid.

Felix signed with Fnatic on Dec. 7, and will be earning around 30 percent less than new additions Noh Yeong-jin and Lee Da-yoon (including the stipend Riot provides), sources close to the team told the Daily Dot.

He will have an extremely tough job filling the boots of Kim, who is a Fnatic legend after spending three years on the team, and making it to the World Championships five times (twice without Fnatic).

Felix played for Meet Your Makers for three weeks towards the tail-end of the 2015 Spring split, and put in some promising performances—though by that point it was too little, too late, and the team was relegated. During his short stint in the League Championship Series (LCS) so far, Felix has featured for Ex Nihilo in the Challenger Series, and an unsuccessful LCS promotion tournament bid from SK Gaming.

Fnatic retained two of their key players from last season, with Fabian “Febiven” Diepstraten and Martin “Rekkles” Larsson staying on the team.

The team won the European LCS this year, after recovering from a similar loss of talent following the 2014 season. It will now be looking to replicate its success with the newly-signed players.

Update 1:35pm CT Dec. 9: In an email to the Daily Dot, Felix’s attorney denied the assertions in this article, saying that Felix had not “entered into a contract with Fnatic thus far.”
