Lizzo fans just discovered her old YouTube channel thanks to the platform’s algorithm, and it is making them swoon even harder for the singer, rapper, and flutist.
The account (lizzomusic), which only has 9,000 subscribers, was started by the singer back in 2011 and features several videos of Lizzo before she became super famous. In one, the singer performs a cover of “Empire State Of Mind” with her signature instrument, the flute–and it is as amazing as you could imagine.
Other videos include Lizzo singing a cover of Adele’s “Someone Like You” while playing the piano. (Is there anything Lizzo can’t do?)
Fans are in agreement that the old videos show how dreams really can come true if you work hard enough. Lizzo has clearly earned every ounce of her fame and critical acclaim.
“And somewhere, there’s a young woman or girl with a voice we haven’t heard yet, who’s where you were eight years ago and watching this thinking ‘I can do this,'” one YouTuber wrote.
Many commenters also noted that the singer looks the same almost a decade later, so, obviously, she also knows all the secrets to eternal youth.
“So Lizzo doesn’t age… What cocoa butter is she using??” another YouTuber asked.
Many are showing thanks to YouTube’s algorithm, because, for once, it showed people the content they actually wanted to see–even if it was nearly a decade later.
“I see.. the Youtube Algorithm brings us all together yet again,” one fan wrote.
