If you’ve ever, at any point in your life, kept up with the Kardashians, you have E! to thank for it. The enduring cable channel, which dates back to the late ’80s, is currently serving up celebrity-based reality TV and entertainment news and gossip. It’s essential during award season, with its red-carpet coverage of the Emmys, Golden Globes, and Oscars among its most popular programming.

Best Shows on E!

What is E!?

The entertainment channel started its life as Movietime back in 1987, but became E!: Entertainment Television in 1990 to reflect a focus on entertainment coverage, including celebrity news and gossip. It’s currently, thanks to the Comcast-NBC deal in 2011, part of NBCUniversal’s vast empire. The network debuted Keeping Up with the Kardashians in 2007, and the show and its numerous spinoffs are still one of the primary reasons E! draws an audience, while The Soup was revived in February 2020 to continue the dirt-dishing that’s been a longstanding E! tradition.

  • Launched: July 1987
  • Slogan: “Pop of Culture”
  • Genre: Reality/Celebrity News
  • Formally called: Movie Time (1987–1990)
  • Parent Company: NBCUniversal

E! live stream: How to watch E!

E! is available on a few of the major live TV streaming services. When trying to decide which one is best for you, you’ll want to weigh the cost, the other channels you’ll receive, and the compatible devices for streaming.

E! on FuboTV

FuboTV started as a streaming service geared toward sports fans, but it’s evolved into a broadly-appealing option with entertainment and news options alongside its robust sports choices. Depending on the package, you can access as many as 181 FuboTV channels. If you’re looking to be entertained, Bravo, IFC, MTV, and VH1 are options even at Fubo’s most basic tier. The Fubo channel list still includes plenty of sports, including the Fubo Sports Network, which has original programming mixing sports and humor. The FuboTV cost starts at $54.99 a month, and with Disney Media favorites like ABC, ESPN, and the Disney Channel coming on board in 2020, some who were on the fence about Fubo are giving it another look.

To watch E!, you’ll want to dock in at the FuboTV Standard level.
