A snow apocalypse is about to hit the East Coast of the United States—a winter storm sinisterly known as Jonas—and there are plenty of great hacks for surviving the wintry precipitation that’s about to blanket millions of nervous, anxious, and maybe horny people.

But if you want some real down-to-snowy-earth advice, the Bangor, Maine Police Department has you covered. Step No. 1: Procure and eat as much cereal as possible. Step No. 2: Try not to kill yourself.

While the post is hilarious and well-written, there really is some good advice in there. But the most important thing to remember when you’re stuck inside for days with nothing to keep you alive but Netflix and warm blankets is this: “Don’t panic. It’s just frozen rain. It does go away.”
