Journalists in Libya are freed

More than a dozen foreign journalists in Libya have been freed from captivity after being held at gun point by men loyal to Moammar Gaddafi and Twitter is overjoyed.

For nearly five days, the journalists were held at the Rixos Hotel in Tripoli, Libya, while rebel forces continued their assault against Gaddafi’s forces, according to the Associated Press.


While the journalists were reunited with their colleagues, hundreds of people took to Twitter to wish them the best of luck and to comment on the ongoing conflict in the country.
