You know what’s worse than being a snake? Being a snake that’s being eaten by another snake.

On Sunday, Jan. 1, Australian snake catchers Norman and Sally Hill uploaded a novel albeit horrific sight of a video to their company Facebook page—an eastern brown snake slowing devouring a carpet python.

The pair found the sutured serpents during a house call in Queensland, Australia.

“We’ve never seen something like this before, it’s very rare any snake catcher gets an opportunity to witness something like this,” Sally Hill told the ABC.

Yep, this homesnake is clearly in possession of one extremely endangered python and zero fucks.

While brown snakes usually eat mice, lizards, and frogs, they have been known to target other snakes for the occasional meal. Sally Hill told ABC that the snake could have preyed upon the carpet python as result of increased competition for food.

Hours later, after the snake had finished its meal, the couple finally removed it from the home—if disturbed while eating, snakes could regurgitate.

At least snakes are consistent—whether they’re human or reptile, they’re cold-blooded and cannot be trusted.
