Sony selling limited-edition version of PlayStation 4 in PS1 colors

Sony is celebrating PlayStation’s 20th anniversary with a very special release of the PlayStation 4 decked out in the PS1’s “Original Grey” colorway.

Available for $499 in the States (49,980 Yen in Japan, 499 EUR in Europe), the model is a very limited edition: Just 12,300 will be sold.

The Verge reports that pre-orders for the console begin on Dec. 6, and for those not lucky enough to get their mitts on one—demand is all but guaranteed to vastly outstrip supply—there’s an “Anniversary theme” available to customise the Playstation 4’s menus.
