True love is sending your Tinder match 100 days of panda facts

It's adorably unfathomable.

Online dating can be tricky. It’s hard to know how to break the ice and let the object of your affection know who you really are.

Of course, you could just skip all that and educate your crush about pandas. That’s what this guy chose to do when, instead of talking to a potential date about the number of siblings he has, or what he majored in at college, he sent her facts about the cuddly creatures for 100 days.

It all starts off innocently enough. She spells “Hi” wrong, he spells “Christmas” wrong. Seems like a match made in heaven. Then he hits her with a panda fact. She seems charmed by it and totally plays along when he says he’ll send her another one the next day. Being a man of his word, he does. Again. And again. And again.

Some facts are cute, some are sad, and some are gross:

And a few are really just jokes:

The odd thing is, the guy never offers any info about himself, and she never ask for any. The closest the exchange comes to romance is when she says she hopes he never stops sending her panda facts:

But then, after 100 days, he does. He just stops. He never even asked her if she wanted to go to the zoo.

It seems so tragic. Did this guy really just want to inform someone about pandas? If so, isn’t Tinder a strange medium to use? Maybe he got in touch with her again. Maybe they’re someplace watching a Netflix documentary about pandas right now.

Maybe.

Or maybe there’s just a lonely woman out there with a head full of panda facts and a heart full of questions. If that’s the case, then we sympathize, panda girl. We’re not quite sure what was going on here either.
