Every good bank robber knows that a robbery team must consist of four people: the brains of the operation, the muscle, the getaway driver, and the social-media expert. Two Ohio robbers had just one of those things.
John Mogan, 28, and Ashley Duboe, 24, allegedly robbed the Savings Bank in Asheville, Ohio, in late August and were caught after posting images of themselves flashing the stolen cash.
The tattoo-faced Mogan appears in one picture taking a bite out of a stack of bills wrapped with a rubberband. In another, he pretends that the stack is a cellphone.
Mogan has waived his right to a hearing and could face up to 36 months in prison, on top of a $10,000 fine. He is being held at $250,000 bond.
Although it remains unclear why Mogan posted photos of himself with incriminating evidence, we can only assume that he had concerns about his personal brand. Fat stacks of cash and dope face tattoos are known to get tons of engagement.
Even if the court finds Mogan guilty, he still has at least one friend he can count on.
