Jacksonville State University student/fast food connoisseur Michael Panik successfully raised a whopping $10 to help pay for a McDonald’s McNugget Meal. The GoFundMe campaign was successfully funded just a few hours after launching.

The nugget master wrote on the GoFundMe page, “Some people call me crazy. I just call them ‘chicken.’”

But it looks like Panik’s page was a little tongue-in-cheek: He has a dour view of some popular crowdfunding efforts.

Panik told Rise News, “A friend and mine were talking about all the ridiculous GoFundMe campaigns we’ve seen recently, basically people just asking for money to buy personal stuff: new equipment, software… It’s pretty rude, honestly—just begging for money for things you want or need, that ultimately aren’t super expensive, and aren’t true necessities.”

Even if the quest for nuggets was meant to prove a point about the sad state that Kickstarters and GoFundMes are nowadays, Panik still got a free lunch out of it.
